Where is Canyon Peak?

Canyon Peak is now called Woodruff Butte and is located about 15 miles southeast of Holbrook, Arizona.  To get there from Holbrook take State Route 77 south about 9 miles to Woodruff Road.  Woodruff Butte and the town of Woodruff are about 6 miles east.  Sitgreaves' map looks like this (the word "RECK" is an engraving error):
